Eligibility Criteria

  • Income Limit: Rural areas – annual income should not exceed ₹1,50,000; Urban areas (Municipalities, Municipal Corporations, Nagar Panchayats) – annual income should not exceed ₹2,00,000. Ration card details must be included in the application. If a ration card is unavailable, an Income Certificate issued by Meeseva is required.
  • Age Limit: Non-agricultural schemes – 21 to 55 years (as of July 1st of the implementation year); Agriculture and allied sectors – 21 to 60 years.
  • Residency and Employment: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Telangana state and currently unemployed.

Other Important Condition

  • One household shall be limited to one self-employment scheme within a period of five years.
  • Preference shall be given to candidates availing the ESS for the first time, women candidates (minimum 25% of total target) particularly single and widowed women.
  • Preference also includes Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) (minimum 5%) and family members of Martyrs of Telangana agitation and SC Sub classification agitation.
  • Candidates with existing skills in self-employment will also be prioritized.

Financial Benefits

Each selected beneficiary will receive financial assistance of up to INR 3 lakh under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme to support their business venture based on Financial Support Categories:
